|I came to the edge of life, and decided that I wanted to continue, to carry on living. Here be dragons!|
Life’s Edge. We often hear the words “knife’s edge” – but another pic taken at the beach reminds me how much I am drawn to life, and where else does life congregate BUT at the edge of all things?
Follow a river deep into the desert and life follows it too, and spreads out, as far as it can, to the very edge of the life-sustaining reach that the river has.
I’m at life’s edge, because although 112 days into a new life is a massive thing, it is still insignificant in the grand scheme of things: a newborn child at 112 days cannot fend for itself, but I must; a newborn child at 112 days cannot think for itself, but I have to and a newborn child at 112 days cannot take accountability for itself, but I do.
But unlike a newborn child at 112 days, my renaissance affords me the luxury of hindsight, and of gratitude, and of foresight – THIS time…this time I am doing it right!
